She founded the Soul Talks Inc charity, which aims to relieve death anxiety, along with Hunab Ku, the for-profit company supporting it. In 3 recent books, Joy writes about death and beyond, and the truth about the meaning and purpose of life. Today she honours the mentor who inspired her.
